Kevin D. Feldman
Bio: Working as a marketing manager for a major automaker, Kevin volunteered his free time serving on Boards and working with disabled children in Scouting and a therapeutic horseback riding program. As part of his work, Kevin also helped these programs to raise money and awareness asking people for gifts, designing marketing campaigns, and organizing fundraising events. Kevin's love for fundraising was born. In 1988, Kevin left his work with the automaker to pursue his passion and join an established, midsize charity as a program director. Responsible to raise money for the program, he applied for and won local government grants, established a successful social enterprise, and led in winning the agency’s first celebrity endorsements. But even with these successes and $15 million dollars in annual revenue, the organization was not sustainable, and in the summer of 1993 the organization shut down. From this experience Kevin set out to learn as much about fundraising and marketing for nonprofits as possible. Because of improving technology, new strategies and techniques, and changing trends, he knew that this was going to be a long-term commitment. "There are no experts in the field of Nonprofit Advancement, only lifelong learners," Kevin says. Having many successes and failures under his belt, Kevin has learned valuable lessons and seeks to take successes to the next level. If you seek to reach maximum "fundability" and have a well diversified and integrated fundraising and marketing program, then Kevin would like to talk with you.
